The foundation's mission is to help urban communities improve the conditions of urban life through education, networking, mentorship, and positive role models. LaVista Foundation is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations are contributed to other non-profit organizations throughout America.

April 2015, individuals, organizations, businesses and places of worship were affected by acts of violence and property destruction in Baltimore City , to help restore the community stability from this protest the Lavista Foundation contributed funds through the United Way of Central Maryland. These funds went towards humanitarian relief and emergency support to nonprofit organizations affected by this protest.
